Location and Accessibility

The Centre is located in the city of Žalec, Slovenia (EU); a half-an-hour drive from Ljubljana or Maribor and an hour drives from Jože Pučnik international airport. The city and its broader region offer accommodation and leisure facilities.

Centre for laser refractive surgery was founded in 1996 by Marjan Irman, an acknowledged Slovenian ophthalmologist and eye surgeon who has a track record of several thousand laser operations in different techniques. The operations have been performed by excimer laser and since 2008 by an additional - femto laser. In July 2011, the Centre has already installed the 5th generation excimer laser to reach the highest standards of refractive surgery.
